What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I'm responsible for raising money, roughly. Well, it kind of depends on how you slice it, but about five hundred thousand dollars from individuals every year.
And then, depending on the types of grants available, it can go up into the two-million-dollar range. This includes making sure grant applications and reports are submitted.
It also involves shepherding grants through their process and maintaining relationships with our individual donors. There are some events involved.
Additionally, I ensure our website and social media are up to date. We continually elevate the stories of our students and families within Oakland.
