What did you do in college to set you up for success?
I would say doing internships and volunteering. My school is pretty lucky that we have a really great sports business department, and that allowed me to network with a lot of different people.
It also helped me find people in the industry who could make recommendations and provide opportunities to volunteer. Finding an internship that was somewhat in the data world helped a ton.
That allowed me to have things on my resume besides, "Hey, I graduated just like the other 10,000 applicants." That allowed me to stand out for a position that ultimately led to me being here with FanDuel in Los Angeles.
