What skills are most important for a job like yours?

Communication is number one. In this role, you're always talking with very different people and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. You really have to understand how to communicate effectively and know your audience.

You will definitely phrase things differently for people who work inside the company versus people who work outside. You also want to be as giving with information as you can, but there are certain things you can't share with external partners. It's an important balance to be good with communication but also know when to hold back certain items and when to share them.

Other than that, communication and collaboration are key. You're working with a lot of people and have to be a good team player. You need to show up in a way that makes people excited to work with you, bringing a can-do attitude, especially when things get tough.

Partnerships don't always work out. You have to accept that and not take it personally. You also shouldn't blame anyone for outcomes you didn't want.

The third thing is being detail-oriented. There's a lot going on at all times, and it can be easy to lose track of what needs to get done and by when. It's good to be organized, detail-oriented, and have a running list of to-do items. Make sure you're following up with people and ensuring tasks get done in a timely fashion.
