What do you enjoy the most about being in your role?

Being a man in a management position straight out of college is what I enjoy most about this role. A lot of the time, you have executive liberty.

You do have a boss, and mine is the store manager. But as an assistant store manager, I'm often the only manager in the building. So if things go wrong, I'm the one making those decisions.

You have that responsibility of making the store better. It's a privilege and a responsibility that comes with being a manager. I'm not just listening to what my store manager says; I have my own vision for improving the store.

Instead of just getting approval, I can take initiative through my managerial role. Having that title makes a big difference because you're not just being told what to do. You have the liberty to make executive decisions that benefit the store. And you learn a lot in that position.
