What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?

I'd say I've taken a lot of what I've learned from previous roles into this one. Obviously, AI and publishing don't overlap much with real estate.

But that being said, knowing how to perform in a full-time role or work remotely are skills that help you in any position. You have to be able to manage your own time.

For instance, working from home, it would be easy to slack off and not do much in a given day, but that will eventually catch up with you. So, you have to be good at project management and all of those things.

In general, it's a lot of self-accountability. Making sure that if no one was pressuring you to do any work, and it was all up to you, you're the type of person who can keep yourself accountable to what you have to do each day.

I feel like it takes a lot of accountability to publish a book, too. No one was forcing me to write a certain number of words daily. It's the same idea with a big project: if you have to break it into smaller steps, are you the type of person who can follow through and get it done? I think that's a really important mindset for any job, industry, or life goal you have.
