What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
I've only been at this company for three months, so my biggest hurdle was just learning the ropes. They threw a lot at me in a short amount of time.
My biggest challenge was the learning curve of being in a new organization, a new industry, and a new role. The last person in my role got overwhelmed by all the tasks required on a weekly, monthly, and daily basis.
You have to be really good at time management. Time management applies to every facet of your life, whether it's your career, your personal life, or how you prioritize tasks daily. It's a really important skill.
Are you the type of person who always shows up late or forgets things? If so, it's likely reflecting in your work life. I'm the type of person who usually tries to be on time and schedule things in advance.
When I first started in this role, it was overwhelming for me too. I was pushed to my limit in terms of how much I could fit into an eight-hour day. I've slowly adjusted to make it work.
Part of that is learning how to do things faster and more efficiently, and communicating to your boss if you can't meet deadlines. When those situations come up, you learn how to operate within them. It's a lot for someone new to a company, but I think I'm in a better place now, so it's good.
