What is your biggest challenge in your current role?
The biggest challenge in my current role is finding people the correct information they're asking for. Sometimes a candidate or a colleague, or even a different analyst, will come to me with a question we might not know how to answer immediately.
In those instances, we'll need to do some research and interact with different stakeholders to understand the situation. However, this is also the most rewarding part of my job.
When you solve a complicated problem or have to work with many people to find the best answer, especially in a gray area we navigate as HR professionals, it's incredibly satisfying. To do this effectively, you need to speak with various types of stakeholders.
These stakeholders can be external or internal, and you might be dealing with a candidate versus a hiring manager. You often have to navigate the space between these different parties.
While challenging, this aspect is also the most rewarding. Giving someone the answer they need, doing something right, or making the right hire and seeing a hiring manager thrilled with the new team member is a very empowering experience.
Ultimately, working with diverse stakeholders who have different needs and perspectives presents the greatest challenge. Yet, it's the most rewarding when we can find common ground and a good solution to the problem.
