What does a day in the life of an entertainment coordinator look like?
That is a fun question because I feel like every day of my job feels so different than the last. I think it's very dependent on what projects we're working on and at what stage.
Generally speaking, a lot of my day is spent sending emails to people, asking them to set a meeting or check in on progress. I make sure people are doing what they need to do to advance our projects as we'd like.
We are very reliant on our project partners to be self-sufficient and put in hours of work. We are assisting them in developing their projects, but some things they need to do themselves. This is in order to infuse their creative vision and ensure they have the final say.
So it is a lot of checking in on people and making sure things are getting done. But there's also a fun part of the job which involves creating our own concepts and show ideas, which is really cool.
I think we also get to meet with a lot of cool talent and celebrities. Being able to meet with talent in that way is great to help build out concepts around a person or cater it to them. We can also keep them in consideration for other projects later down the line.
