So, what does a day in the life in your job look like?
Every day is actually very different, even though I see patients daily. Each patient who comes in is unique and has different needs.
Some days can be really busy, depending on who I'm working with. As we all experience, some people need more hand-holding, while others are more independent. So, depending on the patient, my appointments can range from 30 minutes to two hours.
On some days, I'm running behind. Other days, I'm on time and everything is going smoothly. In addition to seeing patients, I also have to order their hearing devices.
I need to find time between patients to do that and to complete my chart notes. Usually, it's mostly seeing patients. On Friday afternoons, I would have a little time to work on other things.
For example, I might do some community outreach or help the practice with marketing ideas. That's usually what I would end up doing, or I'd catch up on any hearing aid work that I wasn't able to complete. We love that end-of-week work block.
