Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college? Please include any internships or jobs you held before your current role.
I went to San Diego State. I'm currently living in Tucson, Arizona, but I'm originally from California. I graduated in 2016.
I initially started in political science, but then I switched my major to business with an emphasis in marketing. During college, I interned for a biotech company and an insurance marketing agency.
I did a lot of background business tasks, from accounting to marketing and social media. Both companies were startups, which I feel gave me a good amount of experience. I wasn't confined to just one role and got to see how they started their businesses. In fact, for the second company, it was just the owner and me, so I felt I gained a lot of experience there.
After graduating, I worked for ADP, a payroll company, in a sales role. It was a "smile and dial" type of job. It wasn't the best experience, but I'm glad I worked there for about a year. Then, I worked for Intuit in QuickBooks sales before starting my own business.
