How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?

For this industry specifically, people who thrive tend to be a little crazy in the head, in a good way. You have to grind and build your book of business, especially early on, and be relationally driven.

This allows you to set yourself apart from competitors. You're working after hours, responding to emails early in the morning, late at night, and on weekends.

This isn't always the case, but if a partner needs a deal done, and you're the one to do it, you'll put in the time. I've had it happen multiple times, finishing something late on a Friday or early on a Saturday or even Sunday.

You'll end up cultivating more business that way. Being active and open to receiving calls, texts, emails, or messages outside of typical hours is what will really set you apart.
