Significant Career Lesson From a CEO and Founder at Hit of Happiness
Brian, CEO and Founder at Hit of Happiness, emphasizes the importance of enjoying "the journey," finding fulfillment in the daily work rather than solely focusing on achieving milestones. This approach, he explains, allows for sustained passion and prevents burnout, making the day-to-day tasks, "the coffee shots, the ideating," as enjoyable as achieving goals.

What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?
One of my core beliefs is that the journey is the destination. So many people chase destinations, like a promotion or closing a deal.
While those are great, they're only satisfying for a couple of days before you're back to the status quo. If you're working strictly for the destination, you'll eventually burn out.
However, if you're able to enjoy the day-to-day journey, that's what you'll want to do forever. In my current role as CEO, I have goals and KPIs, but I truly love the day-to-day.
I love the journey, the coffee breaks, the ideation, and figuring things out. That's why I love my job. If I only loved it when I closed a deal, I'd have far more bad days than good.
Ultimately, it's all about the journey. Find a journey that you fall in love with.
