What does a day in the life of a public relations associate look like?

For me, it obviously depends on the day, but throughout the week I have different deliverables due to my clients. It's mostly about managing my time and understanding what I have to do, and then what other tasks might be thrown my way that day, and managing my time for that as well.

Something I do every day is news scans or news briefs for my clients. This involves compiling industry news, coverage on them, and competitor news, and then sending that over to them.

I also handle some internal communications for clients. Essentially, I jump into the tasks that my leads or clients ask of me. That's kind of where I serve on my team.

When there's a big project due for a client, I'm also the person my team can come to for help. So, I'm very flexible in that way. I have several different deliverables due throughout the week, so managing those is also part of my role.
