What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
I think I really enjoy the variety that comes with this position. As I mentioned before, we're working on different types of assets, so you'd be looking at a multifamily, like an apartment deal, differently than you'd be looking at an industrial deal or a retail deal.
I think just being able to learn and get exposure to all these different asset classes has been really interesting. Also, as I've mentioned before, it's not only keeping up with the analysis of a single asset, but also keeping up with what's going on financially, even globally, with the current economic environment.
That all plays a role in what you're investing in individually as well. I think that's pretty stimulating for me, and I have an interest in that, so that's what I've enjoyed so far.
But I also like the relationship and people aspect of this role and this industry in general. It's a very relationship-driven business.
Being able to talk to people and hear where they're coming from and different backgrounds, how they're looking at a deal or how they're looking at a market or strategy, is pretty interesting. I like talking to people, so I think that's a plus too.
Those are some things that have drawn me and kept me in this position.
