What do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

I think I really enjoy just the different aspects of what's going on in the industry. There are a lot of factors to consider when you're looking at an asset, depending on the financial market and the asset's location. I find it exciting to be heavily involved in that process and look at all these different factors that affect what I'm working on.

I also like that you're able to work on tangible assets in real estate, which is different than other areas of finance. If we want to buy a property in LA, for example, we can go visit and see the physical property. You can connect what you're typing up and modeling on a screen to what's actually there.

I think that's pretty unique for this area of finance, or finance in general. There's also an entrepreneurial spirit to this business, and many of the skills are applicable in other areas of your life.

You can learn to start your own business, whether that's acquiring or selling properties, or having a brokerage. A lot of it can be translated within a company. You can have that entrepreneurial style, but also do something on your own, which I think is pretty cool and unique about this industry.
