What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
In undergrad, I really wanted to learn more about different areas of finance. I did a lot of networking, which essentially means reaching out to people in different industries. This could be seniors or juniors at your school who have had those experiences, or people already working in the industry.
I sent out a lot of cold emails. While the hit rate might not be high, showing the effort to talk to strangers and put yourself out there is huge, especially at a young age. I think that has really helped me get to where I am now.
When you're in undergrad, there are so many different career paths and things you can learn. Getting as much experience as you can through internships is the best thing you can do. It helps you learn what you like and don't like about a specific career or job title.
The more you can figure that out earlier on, the more you can see and get to a career path you enjoy. Then you can take off from there. That's what really set me up.
