A Day In The Life Of A Recruiter At A Healthcare Company
As a healthcare recruiter, Anna's day revolves around a cycle of checking emails and the calendar, which is usually prepared a day in advance, reviewing new applicants, conducting 30-minute interviews, and then "repeat[ing] that because we're always hiring," while also sourcing candidates on LinkedIn and managing job offer processes. Submitting candidate notes to hiring managers and "preparing and sending out any actual physical job offers" are also tasks that Anna completes daily.

What does a day in the life of a recruiter look like?
The day in the life of a recruiter for me looks like this: every day, I start by reviewing my emails and my calendar. I typically set up my calendar at least a day in advance, so I already have interviews scheduled.
Once I go through my emails, I review any new applicants for our jobs and reach out to them. Then, during that time, I conduct the scheduled interviews. These interviews usually take about 30 minutes per candidate.
After completing the interviews, I submit my notes and send them over to the hiring manager. In between, I'm always sourcing for candidates on LinkedIn to reach out to. I also extend verbal offers and prepare and send out the actual physical job offers.
Finally, I get the candidate set up and sent over to HR. I kind of just repeat that process because we're always hiring and always have new jobs. So, I'm always posting jobs, reaching out to candidates, interviewing, and sending out offers, basically on repeat every day.
