What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
As a social impact marketer, the main responsibilities begin with data analytics. This involves sourcing through data and using that information to transition from raw data to telling a story for clients, partners, and cross-functional teams.
The second responsibility is budget management. With many campaigns running simultaneously, it's crucial to track where money is being spent and make adjustments to create the most impact. This applies to fundraising, activities, social, and digital marketing.
You analyze how these efforts perform monetarily and track your return on investment. The third responsibility is building the campaigns and strategies behind how you execute and who you are impacting.
This means strategizing valuable programs and getting feedback from those who need the resources you can provide. The fourth, and perhaps most important, responsibility is managing relationships with partners.
This includes external partners who help execute your work, internal teams across the company, and those who are spending money with you. You communicate their value and tell that story to encourage continued or increased support, thereby increasing your impact.
These are the main responsibilities outside of leading the team daily. This involves being a resource, guiding them, and acting as a sounding board.
It's also about providing a vision so everyone can execute, implement, stay on target, be organized, and achieve the set goals.
