What did you do in your undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
I was really big into networking, which means meeting anyone and everyone from all walks of life. This could involve going to your professors' office hours or attending networking events with the business college. Anywhere you can meet people and ask them about their experiences can provide a good resource for the future.
That's how I got my current role. I walked into this building to meet the head of the tech center. He suggested someone I might want to work for, which ultimately led me to the position I have now.
So, networking is key. Do it, even if you're a little intimidated or nervous. Just go and talk about your hobbies. You never know; that person could become a contact you reach out to for advice or even a potential career opportunity.
