Q9: Wish known before - industry

What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would've told you before you entered the industry?

I think it really comes down to this: you're going to be working really hard, always. This is especially true if you have clients, or if your livelihood depends on other people.

You want to be ready to serve them. Not all the time do you need to set boundaries, but be flexible and ready to work for them. That takes some getting used to, but it's also very rewarding. You build relationships and things like that.

So, it's really all about the people and the relationships. Your career depends on being good at something, but once you are, it's about who you know and how you deal with those people. I think if I'd known that a long time ago, it would have been advantageous.
