Q11: Significant lesson - career
What is one lesson you have learned that has proven significant in your career?
I think it's this: I never had a big career design. I never said, "I'm going to do this or that." If you do, then that's great, but for me, it's been about looking for an interesting door to open and then walking through it.
I was happy in my jobs, and then an opportunity came up. It sounded interesting enough that I left my comfort zone and moved into the unknown, and I never regretted doing that.
I think if you can build relationships and have people trust you, then opportunities present themselves. You just have to walk through those doors when they open. I think that's the best thing. I did that probably a dozen times.
