What does a day in the life of a marketing consultant look like?

It very much depends on the gig, but for me, I try to remain in the weeds with clients. This ensures I constantly understand the environment I'm working in.

Generally, when I get up in the morning, I'll boot up Meta and Google. I'll take a look at the data that's come in from the campaigns I'm responsible for. If anything needs my attention, I focus on that.

If a client needs attention, I might try to set up some calls. Often there are several calls I need to attend, so I'll prepare for those. These might be consultations on what's upcoming in their marketing.

I'll be working with creative teams to understand what content and creative we should be producing for next month's campaigns, or campaigns two months from now. I'll then wrap these in and run them. It's a lot of getting ready, understanding what's happening, and then trying to be forward-looking. I work with the teams that will produce the assets I need to do my job.
