[NEW FEATURE 🗣️] Stop Watching. Start Deciding.

We added our Video Reactions feature that changes how you explore careers on Advize. Here's why it matters.

You've watched 10 videos about different careers.

You learned things. You got ideas. You took notes.

But if someone asked you right now, "So what actually fits you?" you'd probably say:

"I'm still figuring it out."

Here's the problem: You're watching, but you're not deciding.

And watching without deciding just leaves you with 47 open tabs, a lot of information, and zero clarity about what you actually want.

We Just Fixed That

After every video you watch on Advize, you can now tell us, your teacher, or advisor (and yourself) how it landed:

❤️ "This fits me" = this aligns with what I want, who I am, where I'm going

👍 "Interesting" = I'm curious, but I'm not sure this is my path

👎 "Not for me" = grateful I know this now before I spent years pursuing it

It's simple. But here's why it actually helps.

You'll See Patterns You Didn't Notice Before

One reaction on one video? That's just a data point.

But when you've watched 30 videos and you notice that you've marked:

  • 8 videos as "this fits me" (6 were in education, 4 mentioned work-life balance, 5 were First-Gen professionals)

  • 15 videos as "interesting" (mostly tech, consulting, finance)

  • 4 videos as "not for me" (all required constant travel)

That's not random. That's your pattern.

You're not just consuming content anymore. You're building a map of what actually resonates with you.

You'll Stop Confusing Curiosity With Direction

"Interesting" is valuable. It means you're learning. You're exploring.

But "interesting" is different from "this fits me."

One is curiosity. The other is conviction.

And knowing the difference? That's how you stop second-guessing yourself.

When you mark something "interesting," you're saying: "Cool, but probably not for me."When you mark something "this fits me," you're saying: "I can actually see myself doing this."

Reactions help you tell the difference—so you stop wondering if you're supposed to pursue every career that sounds cool.

You'll Build Confidence Through Elimination

Every time you mark something "not for me," you're not failing.

You're gaining clarity.

You're ruling things out. Which means you're getting closer to ruling things in.

That video about investment banking that you marked "not for me"? That's not wasted time. That's one less path you have to wonder about. That's progress.

What This Actually Changes

Career exploration used to feel like:

Watch 10 videos. Take notes. Still have no idea what you think. Feel more confused than when you started.

Now it feels like:

Watch a video. React. See what you're drawn to. Notice patterns. Build conviction.

Because you're not behind. You're not lost.

You're just building clarity—one reaction at a time.

Here's What Happens Next

Next time you watch a video, you'll see three buttons at the bottom.

Pick one.

That's it.

Over time, you'll start to see what fits you vs what's just interesting vs what you're actively ruling out.

And that—knowing what resonates with YOU, not just what sounds impressive—is how you actually figure this out.
