What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

My main responsibility is to oversee the development of my company's ESG strategy and how we deliver on sustainability and ethical practices. This role encompasses a broad range of duties to integrate these ESG factors.

This includes strategy development and stakeholder engagement. Internal stakeholders include our employees and board members, while external stakeholders are members of the community and our customers.

I'm also responsible for reporting and compliance regarding sustainability data. This involves deciding what data is meaningful and setting goals against that data.

Risk management for ESG is another area of my responsibility. This means considering how the companies my company acquires and sells interface with the environment, the resources they use, and the innovations they develop for a better planet. This also leads into innovation and continuous improvement of the overall strategy.
