What does a day in the life of a financial analyst look like?
I would say it kind of depends, because I work in the defense sector. I can't speak for all financial analysts.
What I do is mainly costing. So for me, it's all about cost and what the company is spending money on.
A lot of it has to do with approving purchase requisitions and purchase orders. It also involves working with operations and other departments. We ensure they are getting what they need.
We also forecast everything they are expecting. This makes sure we don't have any unexpected costs that aren't accounted for.
