Q4: Most important skills for the role.
Willie, what skills are most important for a job like yours?
I would say one of the most important skills is communication. I know that's a very broad term, and everybody talks about communication all the time.
If I have to break that down, the most important aspects are knowing when to ask for help and telling people what you're struggling with. That's my key takeaway from communication.
So, I'll put that as the top priority skill. A lot of times, I struggle with admitting when I'm not doing something well and try to figure it out myself, sometimes until it's too late.
Other times, someone else could have helped with a five-minute conversation. So, if I have to pick one of the most important skills, it's communication.
