What does a day in the life of a data specialist look like?

What does a day in the life of a data specialist look like? I work a hybrid schedule at the moment, so some days are in the office, and some days I work remotely.

Most of my day is spent communicating with stakeholders and completing what we call data loads. This involves ensuring data quality and compliance with the DOJ.

Another major part of my day is spent making sure that the eDiscovery platform is functioning normally. As needed, I collaborate with my team to troubleshoot software systems used by litigation staff and attorneys at the DOJ.

We have in-person meetings, but more often we have Teams meetings like this one. These meetings are with stakeholders, managers, and vendors, basically all the parties involved.

At the end of the day, I compile and document my daily activities. I also create a priority to-do list for the following day, which makes my life much easier. This allows me to know exactly what I need to work on and prioritize tasks effectively.
