Could you walk me through your career path, starting with your experiences in college and any internships or jobs you had?

I'm originally from Lima, Peru. I studied accounting in college, and after graduation, I had almost 10 years of job experience before coming to the NBA here at Anderson.

I can briefly walk you over them. I started at an accounting firm that offered different services in accounting, tax, audit, and others. That was for about a year and a half. I was working in the tax area.

Then, I moved to a private equity firm for four years. I was a financial analyst and also did some internal consulting, basically looking for new companies to buy for the fund. Private equity is a big fund with money from individuals or private companies. They buy companies to improve them and then sell them in the long run.

That was my role for four years, and then I moved to Scotiabank. Scotiabank is a strong bank with a presence in South America, where I worked in strategy for four years. That is an area where you basically decide what the main objectives of a company are and how to achieve them from a holistic and general perspective.

After that, I came to Anderson to study my MBA. My last role was as an MBA intern for an ambient biotech company in finance.
