How would you describe people who typically thrive in this industry?
People who typically thrive in education are those who enjoy being around children. They get joy from working with little ones, for sure.
I think the people I know who thrive and truly enjoy teaching are constantly prepared for learning. I haven't gone through a semester in my career without being in some kind of continued education courses.
There is just so much to learn, and I think being deeply interested in problem-solving, specifically how children learn and think, and how to better serve them, makes a difference. Those people tend to be the happiest.
This is a lifelong opportunity, not something to simply check off a box.
