What is your biggest challenge in your current role?

The biggest challenge in my current role is definitely managing expectations. Managing expectations can be really challenging when we're thinking about the needs of so many incredibly important people.

Something that makes that more challenging is that, as a public school teacher, I don't always have control of the policies that are put in place for me and for my students. It can be really difficult when I don't agree with those policies.

Sometimes I agree fully and I am on board, and it's great. But when I disagree, that tends to be a very passionate disagreement. It can feel really challenging to not be able to do anything immediately about it.
