What A Procurement Agent At Boeing Wishes They Had Known Before Entering The Procurement Industry
Urmi wishes someone had prepared them for how central a Procurement Agent is to various collaborations. It was initially "intimidating and overwhelming" to navigate the daily interactions with internal teams like planning, engineering, and quality, as well as external stakeholders like suppliers, and they wish they had been more ready for that level of cross-functional engagement.

What have you learned about this role that you wish someone would have told you before you entered the industry?
I think something I wish I knew was how much I'd be in the middle of a lot of things. On a daily basis, I collaborate with planning, engineering, quality teams, and suppliers.
In the beginning, it was a little intimidating and overwhelming. I had to put myself out there with other parts of the business and external stakeholders. I wish I had been a little more prepared for that aspect of the role.
