What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?

I'll be honest, I'm a bit of a nerd. I really enjoy breaking things down, looking at numbers and data, and thinking about things in an engineering-type way.

As a computer scientist or software engineer, I feel more like an efficiency expert. I focus on how a system of people can work together with technology in the most efficient way.

I also appreciate that, with a few exceptions, you can make a lot of mistakes and still keep going. I didn't want to be a doctor or medical professional because having someone's life in my hands would be detrimental.

I make a lot of mistakes and am very clumsy. With software engineering, there's a lot of room for error. Aside from small revenue gaps or missing a few dollars, you can still afford to make mistakes and get back on track.

That's why, with career science, I felt like I was always meant for this job, and I really enjoy the role.
