Q3: Day in the life

A typical day, which is most days, involves getting here and checking emails for student inquiries. I answer those questions to the best of my abilities and provide students with the resources they need.

I also do some application processing to make sure students get timely decisions. Then, I brainstorm with my team about what else we can do for outreach and recruitment efforts, as well as yield efforts.

Yield efforts are about ensuring admitted students feel supported and can connect with their peers and the faculty they'll be working with. That's the bulk of it.

There are also virtual student consultations and one-on-one meetings, as well as student interviews for our graduate admissions process. I have interviews with interdepartments, so our marketing recruitment teams have meetings.

We have one-on-ones with faculty members as well, just to ensure everyone is on the same page regarding our progress, goals, and any issues or struggles we're facing, and how we can address them.
