What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?

For me, I think the part that I love most right now about being a consultant is the people. But "the people" is kind of cliché; everybody says that. So, I'll leave that aside, even though you do get to work with some incredible people.

I think the other thing I love most is the challenge. I've grown more in my time as a consultant than in any other role I've been in. The work is hard, confusing, and stressful sometimes, and it takes a long time to do.

But I get so much feedback from my managers and my team about what I can be doing better. This includes not only doing the work better but also how I can be a better teammate, communicate more effectively, or improve on whatever it is that I want to improve on. I love that. So, I think that's probably my favorite part.

Honorable mention goes to the types of problems we get to solve. It's kind of cool to be an operator because you're inside a business and you get to make things happen. But it's also really great being a consultant because you're in client service.

I get to team up with our clients on these really interesting, meaty problems that they're trying to address. These are problems I would rarely get a chance to engage with on my own. In that sense, I think being a consultant has really opened doors for me to grapple with some really tough, interesting problems. And I love that.
