What does a day in the life of your role look like?
Usually, the first thing I do is connect with my boss, the VP of Studio Finance. We collaborate to lay out the day.
Then, I connect with the operators. These are the people in the field running the operations, the vice presidents who manage the stages, lighting, transportation, etc. This is to understand the latest happening within their businesses.
Each month, we also close out the financials. We look at how we performed for the month and then re-forecast for the rest of the year. There are also ad hoc requests, like modeling capital expense projects.
