Favorite Parts Of Working In The Internet Industry As A Lead UX Researcher

Tianyu, a Lead UX Researcher at ZipRecruiter, appreciates the excellent work-life balance in the tech industry, noting "nobody's really policing where you work, how long you work, what time you work," a flexibility Tianyu has experienced across various company sizes, including Meta and Google. This contrasts with recent trends of some companies requiring a return to office and longer hours.

Awesome. Another portion I have is what do you enjoy most about being in your industry?

In the internet industry, the work-life balance is excellent. In my company, we work from anywhere in the world, offering a lot of flexibility.

No one polices where, how long, or what time you work. As long as you finish your job, you're good. We're very much spoiled in that regard.

I know many tech companies are now requiring people to return to the office, and some roles might involve long hours. However, based on my experience in big tech, including Meta and Google, as well as mid-size and small companies, I've always had a great work-life balance.
