What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
The big picture is that we're trying to develop insights to help have impact in the world and make it better. We do this by helping innovation happen more successfully.
This involves innovations that change the quality of life for people. We aim to make these innovations more accessible, affordable, and relevant to more parts of humanity.
My role as a researcher is in K-12 education. I study school districts as case studies, looking at how the dynamics work within these organizations as systems.
Then, I translate these insights into papers and articles for different media outlets. I also give presentations at conferences, helping to spread these ideas and share them with leaders in the field.
My day-to-day work involves many meetings where I learn from people in the field. I then translate what I learn into written products. Occasionally, I travel to visit school sites we are studying or to speak at conferences.
