What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
My job, in a nutshell, is often like herding cats. I have a couple of different roles.
I'm the lead in our project management organization and I also manage projects. On the project management side, I work with key customers to ensure their implementations go smoothly.
This includes making sure they are on budget, on schedule, and that everything happens as it should. I also ensure our customers are happy and all requirements are fulfilled.
Then, on the PMO side, I manage strategic initiatives within our project management organization. I make sure our entire portfolio is moving forward and that people are using our templates and tools correctly. I help with that as well.
While I don't officially manage people, I do manage them indirectly.
