What entry-level positions are there in this field that an undergraduate college student might consider?

A lot of people go into production assistant roles; that's a big one. Podcasting is also a newer field, as is touring. You often have to actively search for these jobs, not just rely on resumes.

There are many jobs on movie and TV sets where PAing is similar. Personal assisting is also a good entry point. When I moved to LA, I was part-time in radio, a part-time nanny, and a part-time personal assistant. This helped build my skills.

Any role like that can get you into the industry. I was looking for exactly that. I applied to many personal assistant roles. When I was first hired, my title was executive assistant, but it transformed as they learned my capabilities.

After a few months, I became a production coordinator. Any assistant role will get you in front of the people who can help you advance. So, any kind of assisting role is typically an entry-level position.
