What do you enjoy most about being in your current role?
One of my absolute favorite things is developing my team. I love coaching and helping my teammates grow their careers.
I think one of my favorite quotes is from my favorite athlete, Kobe Bryant. He said, "The most important thing is to try and inspire people, so that they can be great in whatever they do." I really try to live by that.
My goal is to hold myself to such a high standard that I do great work. I expect great work out of myself, and through that, I can be a source of inspiration. I want to show my team that they can achieve whatever they want, as long as they put their mind to it and work hard.
Creating a safe space in our meetings is also important. I want people to feel comfortable showing up authentically as themselves.
When you combine those elements and add in accountability, you create the right environment for developing top talent and helping them achieve their goals. That is my favorite part on the TA side.
On the I&D side, it's the same thing: coaching. The beauty of coaching is that it's not just for my team. I have the opportunity and gift to coach leaders within our organization.
It's helping them in the same way I described with my team, but through them, for their teams. This expands inspiration and increases satisfaction within their organization. It helps them grow as leaders and helps their teams grow as well.
