What is your biggest challenge in your current role?

I'd say keeping up with industry trends and tools is a key challenge. Things are constantly changing, and you have to ensure you're providing the best solutions and best practices for your clients.

This means staying informed about all the industry changes. For example, Google Analytics introduced a whole new program a couple of years ago, phasing out their previous program that had been in place for 10 to 15 years.

This transition from Google Analytics Universal to GA4 requires knowledge of what's happening, key dates, and how these changes affect clients. You need to know how to help them adapt.

Additionally, privacy laws are evolving. While my company is based in California, we have clients with businesses in the UK and other countries, and employees in other nations.

Therefore, it's also necessary to stay informed about privacy laws in those other countries. Keeping up with all of this is challenging because there's so much going on, but it's very much needed.

The good news is that the analytics community is a strong support system. There are many resources and people available to help, lean on, and collaborate with. This support allows us to offer our clients the best practices and solutions.
