What are your main responsibilities within your current role?

My main responsibilities involve monitoring the health of our system. We run data profiling and data checks on a monthly basis to identify issues.

We then log these issues and work to get them remediated. It's a very collaborative process. We work with data SMEs, system owners, and technology and business experts to understand how issues affect downstream stakeholders and what it will take to fix them.

We work through the entire lifecycle of the problem, starting with understanding the root cause. Once we've identified where the problem lies, whether it's systemic or a process issue, we engage the right teams to figure out how to fix it.

This conversation includes discussing potential funding needs and the type of solution to implement. We consider if it's a large-scale project or a temporary patch fix that can still have meaningful effects on quality and help our stakeholders.
