What skills are most important for a job like yours?
I'd say communication is really crucial, both written and verbal. Time management is also important.
We're oftentimes juggling several different deadlines between BOV deliveries. The client needs it by a certain day because they're meeting the next day to discuss X, Y, and Z.
We also need to get properties to market and get offer memorandums buttoned up and out the door. This includes pushing along PSA negotiations for deals that are already under contract or awarded and working towards being under contract.
Customer service is also key, along the lines of communication. We need to manage client expectations and be communicative, rather than just delaying responses they need.
Being adaptable to different situations is important too. Every deal and client is very different, and their needs for those deals vary. So, being able to prioritize is crucial.
For example, you might have a client who emails every day and needs an immediate response, or clients who are more laid back and trust your process. Just being adaptable is pretty crucial. That kind of sums it up.
