What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
I currently work for a major talent agency based in Los Angeles, within our data group. Our data team is pretty unique because it's one of the only ones at a major talent agency, and it has fairly unique responsibilities.
I work in an analytics, business analysis type of role. I provide talent agents, who work with clients like celebrities, music performers, and athletes, with strategic reporting. This reporting helps benefit whatever deal they're working on.
For example, if it's a casting deal or they're trying to determine the top market to send a music performer to, I provide reporting that uses data to demonstrate their potential value or why they align well for that opportunity. We work very closely with our agents daily to create these strategic reports.
We are also developing products internally that curate data from different sources, such as social media or Spotify. We centralize this information and build products that teach our agents and executives how to look at the data and gain insights for their workflows. We're doing a lot of product development and analysis, and it combines a bunch of different skills.
