What does a day in the life of an executive data insights and analytics look like?
For me, it's a lot of meetings. We often collaborate with our different team members within our data team. This includes data scientists, data engineers, data managers, and people building dashboards within business intelligence tools.
We also work with other analysts like myself to understand what the company needs from a data perspective. We figure out how we can evolve our capabilities as a data team to meet those business needs.
The role also involves responding to many emails from our agents. They send emails regarding reports that might be needed for a client, for example, when they are trying to sign a new client. We respond to help provide the report within a given timeframe to meet those needs.
So, it's a balance of meetings, emails, analysis, and diving into our different tools. It requires a lot of balancing and managing different tasks.
I also manage two analysts, so I work closely with them, reviewing their materials and helping them meet their goals. I collaborate with them and talk to them daily to understand what they need and how I can support them in achieving their own goals.
