What are your main responsibilities within your current role?
My role was as a program or project manager for teammate experience, which is a mouthful. My main role involved scheduling meetings and directing clients on merger-related activities.
I was a program and project manager for an investment banking function during the merger of two banks, creating a top 10 US bank. While my clients and their subordinates handled day-to-day operations, I ensured the merger and transition proceeded smoothly.
This involved moving to new information systems, hardware, and software. They transitioned from old-fashioned banking technology to more cloud-based operations.
My job was to make the transition as smooth as possible. This required extensive coordination between technology teams and business units. I also worked to translate technical discussions between software engineers and the business side.
