What have you learned about this role that you wish someone had told you before you entered the industry?

I wish someone had told me how much longer everything would take than it appears. It's required a lot of patience. We did launch in 2020 shortly after COVID began, which obviously impacted the speed in which we were able to grow, given the state of the world and businesses in general.

I would say that I wasn't prepared for how much longer it would take to execute some of the ideas that we have or even some of the partnerships that we've worked on. Especially when you're partnering and collaborating with other people, a lot of that is outside of your control as well, so you're kind of combining timelines and priorities.

I wished I had kind of a heads-up that it was going to take longer, so that I didn't feel so impatient in the beginning. When we launched, we were supposed to launch in April of 2020 and ended up pushing to July, which at the time felt like forever. We had been working on this for so long and now we had to push.

Looking back almost four years later, that amount of time was a blink of an eye. So, don't be alarmed at how long things take and trust the timing of it all.
