Transcript

What are your main responsibilities within your role?

I'm the founder and president of my own company, TLC. It's a consulting company for early-stage startups, primarily in Silicon Valley, though I work with clients across the country and around the world. My focus areas are business operations and marketing.

My day-to-day activities involve a lot on the business operations side. I market myself as a fractional COO or fractional chief of staff. A chief of staff is essentially the right-hand person to a CEO, handling both administrative and strategic tasks.

I'm not just an elevated executive assistant. I assist with business plans, company direction, and serve as an advisor to the CEO. In my previous experience, I was a chief of staff, so I leveraged those skills to start my own business.

A significant part of my work is managing teams and identifying operational gaps in internal management. I help fix these issues, often on the people operations side. This can include recruiting, onboarding, offboarding, business planning, and improving sales processes.

The other side of my work is marketing. This involves creating campaigns, content, and helping companies develop and execute their brand. Branding is massive and crucial in today's market, so I help companies create their brand and define how they want to be perceived in their industries.
