What did you do in undergrad to set you up for success in your career?
I did a lot of work experience and learned from different people. I participated in work experience and intern programs.
While in college, I studied abroad. That was interesting because I worked in different markets with different people, seeing a full spectrum of what marketing offers.
I took more capstone classes than I think I needed to. At the time, it felt like too much work, but looking back, the experience was invaluable. I really got to work with different people.
It's about creating opportunities for yourself, going to networking events, meeting new people, and doing extra programs. I was part of a mentor-mentee program in college.
Taking advantage of those opportunities, even if they seem like hard work or take too much time, leads to valuable connections and experience. Having a job through college was also great. I could apply what I was learning in real time.
This really formed the foundation of what I've learned to take into the rest of my career.
