What is one lesson that you have learned that has proven significant in your career?
The biggest one, as simple as it sounds, is to ask questions. Always learn from people who are more senior in your field. It is so important to figure out what other people are doing, what they have done, and how they can help you.
This is especially true in teaching. There is almost always someone more senior than you at that school or in that position. People have been teaching for decades, even hundreds of years.
We need to be consistently changing the way we teach and being responsive to students' cultures, current events, and everything like that. At the end of the day, there is always a teacher willing to give you advice.
The only way you are going to continuously grow as a teacher is if you reflect on your own teaching practices, accept that you are not perfect, and figure out what you can do every day to be better.
